Today, March 5th 2021, my sister in law and I drove 2 hrs from Arizona to spend the day at your museum with our 5 children. One of the children is 4.5 years of age. She was born with a rare syndrome, Cornelia De Lange syndrome. Because of this syndrome she has a tracheostomy that is filtered with what is called an HME. She is not capable of wearing a mask at all for more than one reason! However she does not breath through her mouth and infact does breath through her tracheostomy. She is non verbal, non mobile, and has the mentality of a 6 month old. She is wheelchair/stroller bound as she cannot even sit up on her own let alone walk or crawl! I tried to explain this to your employees at the front door, one I am assuming was the acting supervisor. My daughter, Willow, would not be partaking in any of the activities that would be going on. She would be with me as we watched the other children enjoy their time! I m extremely disappointed in your company and their policy! I was informed the the governing law for Nevada is that any children under the age of 9 are not required to wear a mask. Other than my disabled child all else in our party we re in fact wearing a mask to respect your policies! Extremely disappointed in this! When I asked for someone to speak to someone hire than the employees at the door, they proceeded in giving me the marketing directors number and extension, Jodi is her name! Again very disappointed. I truly felt incredibly discriminated against. There should be an exception for medically challenged. If she was able to wear a mask over her mouth I would have done so, again she breaths through a tracheostomy!
