We received good treatment by the salesperson at the time of the sale. We bought a used car. We've nearly always bought used vehicles and had no problems with them at various dealers. We'd seen the good reviews about Stohlman and the car we wanted to look at was at Stohlman Vienna/Tysons. Little did we know that the nice looking and nice to drive car would turn out to be a lemon. We thought the service department had failed to top off the fluids but it turned out to be much worse than that. For a car to need oil regularly and the coolant topped off frequently (in the winter/spring), with the quality of today's vehicles, is ridiculous. It's good that we'd bought the drive train warranty or the car would've been worthless because we couldn't have afforded to fix it. With all that was/is wrong with it, a routine pre-sale vehicle diagnostic would've found the problems. Heck, the fluids would have given the problems away. The warranty adjuster at the required shop - Ourisman Mazda Silver Spring - missed several problems with the engine. We waited more than THREE weeks to get the car back from the one thing the adjuster said needed fixing, but he missed the leaking seals, leaking oil pan and cylinder misfires, so back it goes in less than 2 weeks. No, a loaner or free/low rate rental car wasn't offered the first time, so what am we going to do this time? What kind of car dealership sells cars without doing a vehicle diagnostic? What lousy warranty company mechanic doesn't catch the obvious?
