Review of 2020

After leaving the company I had been with for 3 years, I started looking for a new position to work.

At one point I sent my resume and recommendation over to a sales manager (Jon Sheema) of 2020 Companies who then passed my contact information to the recruiting manager. After looking over my experience, DJ contacted me and we spent about 20 or so minutes talking about what I was looking for with something new and what opportunities he had available for me. The call ended with an interview being scheduled for me to come meet the team and figure out specifics and what there was to offer.

While the interview was still formal and a chance for him to find out more about my qualifications, I felt like it was more an orientation to the position. I met the team, toured the office, talked about the systems and expectations the company had for me and was offered a position to start to next week.

Of course, I accepted.

I am only a month and 2 weeks into my employment with 2020 Companies and I have learned and achieved more in my career than I had the last 3 years. I feel excited to come to work everyday (despite the hour drive to get there). I enjoy being on a team of recruiters who actually work together as opposed to being a sole recruiter for the office.

Instead of waking up each day dreading my workload, I get excited at a full to do list. I enjoy coming into my office, getting a cup of coffee (free french vanilla from the breakroom - yum!) and sitting down to check my emails before starting my day.
