16 years after my father s death, my brother received notice from Washington National that I was insured on a policy by my father and should respond to how I wanted the policy handled. I called. The person who answered appeared to lack knowledge but sent me some forms. I filled them out and return them. I received a form letter indicating that I had not done them correctly. I called again and was told that I had filled out the wrong forms. They sent new forms to me by email. I completed and returned those. Then I got different forms with a form letter saying I had not completed the second set as needed. I completed the new forms. I got another form letter saying i had failed again asking for the same information again & again. This goes on and on. The value of the policy is almost nothing after 16 years. I don t know how they have stayed in business.
