I've always been curious about the history of San Francisco's western neighborhoods, and the Western Neighborhoods Project's website, outsidelands.org, has been an excellent resource. The articles are well-written, providing in-depth information about the neighborhoods' history. The maps and photographs supplement the articles nicely and allow readers to visualize the changes over time. I'm glad that organizations like Western Neighborhoods Project exist to preserve and share this important history.
