This is a great zoo, with changes that knick it from 5 to 4 stars. There is a lot of walking up and down. I think the signage here is inadequate and results in missed exhibits or lots of wandering around.
Some of the covid related changes are a pain, such as tickets are purchased online only and get more expensive closer to the date. There is NO reentry, which is new and easily overlooked. No maps given, so you must rely on your tiny phone screen. Several exhibits, not only indoor ones, are closed. It wasn't busy when we were there, but I read reviews describing hour waits to get into some exhibits. There are a few food vendors near the back and plenty of beer vendors more conveniently located.
