My wife and I stayed at this hotel in July for three nights. This is a hotel with very impressive and beautifully kept grounds, and also has a huge car park. The building, although clearly classically old, radiated modernity and was excellently maintained. The staff were about the best that we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with anywhere in the world. They were in the main mature ladies, who were full of confidence and self-assurance. When they enquired after us on returning to the hotel you could tell that they were genuinely interested in our day and how we were finding our stay. Early one morning the fire alarm sounded, it proved to be a false alarm from another room, however, it was calmly and very professionally dealt with by the night staff. Breakfast we loved. It was not an extensive menu, however, whatever we chose was excellent and was also so well presented. We will definitely stay here agin on our next visit in December of this year.
