Not impressed by the Kaiarahi. Checked in with a dog and got no instructions except when tried to board with all the other passengers. Had to walk on amidst the boarding cars, very little safety seperation to speak of, just a painted walkway! Treated like an embuggerance by the deck crew. The viewing decks and public areas were crammed to capacity during the sailing, nowhere to stow any bags or plug in a device. Felt more like a jostling airline experience than the advertised cruise. It would be nice on a sunny day when people can spread out on the outside decks, but mid winter, this was miserable. Full credit to the onboard crew however, who were very helpful and friendly. Bring your headphones and a book.
