Had to take my husband there for a slipped disc, and I'm not so sure I was feeling very important, insofar as they definitely forgot about us once they put us in one of those tiny holding areas that was big enough for a chair and a curtain. My husband's blood pressure was very high, in the two hundreds over 90s, and after the blood pressure was taken automatically, it would beep like crazy. No one would ever come in to look at it or to reassure us that he was fine. This went on for a couple of hours, every 15 minutes or so. There were no big covid patient lines, we didn't see anyone else in the waiting room, and only saw one or two other people in the emergency department. We felt that we were not taken seriously. It was just not a very good experience. I don't know that I would go back unless I were dying and had to go to the closest hospital.
