My experience was very mixed. My GL550 had broken down in Ruskin. I was on my way back to Georgia. The call to the service department went well. A man named Gary made an appointment for me and said the service tech would be expecting me. Upon my tow truck arrival a greeter took my key and said someone would be with me in a few minutes and to have a seat in the lounge. I noticed that there were several TV's. I asked the Service Concierge if one could be tuned to the golf event in Naples. He pointed to the ceiling and said it's all upstairs and that its not his call. Ask someone in management. He didn't point me to anyone in particular. I approached a cubicle that appeared to house a "management" type person. Same question. He pointed to the ceiling and said its all upstairs and not his call. He then walked away. I gave up and decided to read. After a little over an hour and no contact from anyone, I approached the Service Concierge again. I asked if he could give me an update as to the status of my car. He said that he couldn't and that I should take it up with my Service Advisor. I told him that I hadn't met my Service Advisor. He then pointed to a long line of cubicles and said that he's probably one of those guys. Literally about 10-12 people to choose from and that I should go door to door and inquire. As I headed off, he reluctantly got up and said he'd see what he could find out. A few minutes later he returned and and said someone would be with me in a few minutes and to have a seat in the lounge. That sounded familiar. At about the 90 minute mark a very nice Service Advisor named Mike Nankovitch appeared to give me an update as to my car's issues and status. He was very helpful and clear as to my options. Since it was by now 3:40pm on a Saturday and they were closing at 4pm we decided my best best option was to leave the car over the weekend and they would have it ready to go by mid-day Monday. I was given a loaner car to use until then. On Monday I returned at 12 noon. Mike had my care fixed, washed, and ready as planned. He was very professional, courteous, and helpful. Mike's part of the equation was perfect, but the attitude of the "Non-Service" Concierge and the management type guy really left a bad taste. Not exactly what I needed after having to be towed in and viewing the prospects of paying an unexpected travel bill.
