Travelling by ferry is really about an experience....

Travelling by ferry is really about an experience. And this experience needs to b done only once. I have travelled multiple times with friends or family and for work to get the car across.

It is expensive, cost us 350$ this time for a one way fare to take car n 3 adults n an infant. But it was easter holidays ending. And as it happens in all of New Zealand every business becomes a money ripping service during holidays.

Recommend booking as early as possible to get cheap fare.

Do not bother with food at the ship unless u r dying and have not had to eat for days. Food quality is not worth it. For 19$ v had a scrambled egg ( pic Below) coffee was not worth it either. 1/5 for taste and value.

Over all the ferry is 3/5, for an ok service, good views and getting the car across cheaply (usually costs 1000$ minimum to get a car across thru companies) .

Do it once in ur lifetime if u live in nz. and try booking air fares which will get u across quicker with less time wastage.
