I ll start with the only positive and that was that the room was clean and for the price paid, felt we had got a good deal. But then the problems started. Room windows was broken so wouldn t open and as there was no A/C made the room very stuffy.Went out and had a great evening in Milton Keynes. Got back to find there was a power cut. Corridors were pitch black in places with no staff patrolling with torches so little concern for safety of guests. Woke up to find there was no hot water so couldn t shower. Went to breakfast to find spillages on floor not being cleaned up. No staff in restaurant so all tables were covered in used plates and cups. Went to get drinks and food. No glasses for juice and no plates. Asked staff member who seemed inconvenienced by the request. Looked at the hot food and there was no bacon, beans or tomatoes and eggs were all over cooked. Decided to not eat breakfast and request a refund. There was no manager on duty and the poor staff member left to deal with all the complaints from guests. Senior management need to get involved and understand the shortcomings of this hotel as I would not stay again on current standards.
