October 12th 2018 at 11 a.m. my son and I are working on a pickup truck F-150 Henry Street in Rome I told my son turn the key on. Push the clutch in I'm underneath working on the starter I will start the truck from underneath I was hooking up a starter switch wiring it from the starter because we had a wiring problem in the ignition switch so I start the truck up its running for about a minute then then my son. thought it was in neutral it was in gear my son never got in the truck he held the clutch in with his hand from outside of the truck the minute he took his hand off the floor with the clutch the truck took off I'm still underneath the back driver side Tire ran over my right side and my face my son ran after the trunk stopped the truck looked back I stood up I said you just ran me over then I collapsed to the ground he ran over to me the pain I felt was like nothing I ever felt in my life I said call 911, call an ambulance call your mother I'm going to die so he called you guys the minute he called you guys I could hear the sirens you guys were there within a minute you guys helped with my pain took care of me you said you were trying to get a helicopter together to send me the Syracuse but they could get the helicopter or something so they sent me to Saint Elizabeth's in utica my son was in the ambulance he said you guys were driving great as fast as you could I guess there was a Rome police officer following I got the hospital they cut the clothes off turns out I had 11 broken ribs on my right side
My right lung was collapsed and I had a hole in it somehow my stomach was full of blood and fluid I was a mess the pain was unbearable let me tell you you guys took care of me great and if you didn't do the things you did I don't know if I would have made it.
