I had my first appointment with the Woman s Group ...

I had my first appointment with the Woman s Group on September 24 in hopes for a second opinion on a pre-diagnosis I had received from another doctor/practice. While presenting my symptoms (post-coital bleeding of one year, abnormal bleeding, severe pain, terrible periods, et cetera) doctor Roush said she agreed with the first diagnosis of Endometriosis, suggested birth control as a treatment, and did not recommend laparoscopic surgery (which surgery is the only way to actually officially diagnose Endometriosis.) So, this was my first red flag. Doctor Roush did say she thought that not all of my symptoms were directly related to Endometriosis and wanted to figure out what could be going on. Ok, so I did appreciate that, and thought I could at least use this doctor/practice to solve why I have had severe abnormal bleeding even if I wouldn t use them for Endo related issues. Dr Roush suggested a std and wet panel even though I had stated in February Planned Parenthood had done one for me, coming back clear. I received a basic exam and went on my way. I had bled during my exam, which Dr Roush noted as abnormal, and continued bleeding with lots of pain into the next day. I called and left a message with the NP line, and on the phone was told to take pain reliever, and I would have to wait for the std and wet panel results til we could move forward with a treatment plan (which I was told they should be in on Monday, September 28.) The NP on the phone had also mentioned Dr Roush had mentioned to them an endometrial biopsy, which had never been discussed with me. I called back several times throughout the week as I was still waiting for these basic results. Every time stating I was bleeding and in pain. On October 5 I had finally received my results phone call with a, if you re still having symptoms call us back in two weeks which left me pretty confused as my symptoms weren t spontaneous and have been long ongoing. I had asked the NP on the phone about the possible endometrial biopsy, and was left with a, I ll touch base with the doctor and get back to you. It s now October 13 and I have yet to hear anything about this. On October 13 I received a $283 bill in the mail for lab-work. I was never made aware this would be a separate charge, and I would have fully denied the testing if so, especially considering I made it clear I have one partner and had already tested in February. I had already paid $315 for my wellness office visit (no insurance, I had stated multiple times I was an out of pocket patient). On October 13 I called my South Tampa office to discuss this $283 left field lab bill, and the department had transferred me phone lines, no one answered so I left a voicemail, and my call back was, you ve called the wrong office. This is the North Tampa office and you should be calling your office, the South Tampa one . I couldn t even be transferred to the correct line? I m very disappointed in how I ve been treated as a patient. The lack of care, communication, and professionalism I ve received as a patient from the Woman s Group is completely dismaying. Out of pocket after this lab bill I will have paid $598 for absolutely nothing.

Edit: I received a call on Wednesday the 14th (due to leaving this review) and was told I would receive another call by end of office day the same day or the next day (the 15th)...I never received a call back.
