The enclosures are horrendous for the animals.
The bear enclosure is ridiculously small for three bears. There is no place for them to scratch theirselves, no place for them to get away from visitors, and no way for them to stimulate themselves. When I went there they were all swaying their heads, a sign of stress in captivity for bears. They have no plants, no place to play in the water (except for the tiny excuse of a creek barely running through their enclosure). Its sickening and sad to think that these bears have to spend the rest of their lives in this enclosure. I highly suggest going to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center instead of this disgusting animal prison, where they actually care for their animals.
