My wife and I had the pleasure of working with both Jonathan and Vicky during the purchase of our first home. It was a wonderful experience!

Since we were relocating to Traverse City from another part of the state we had a basic understanding of the areas we were interested. Jonathan helped us to craft our search and set us up with automated emails of listings to allow us to watch the market for a couple of months before setting up any viewings. Once we were ready to view Jonathan quickly brought us up to speed on the nuances of the local market and neighborhoods. His local knowledge was impressive and he quickly understood exactly the type of home we were looking for. The viewings were well choreographed and we never felt rushed. Jonathan had a keen eye for detail and frequently noted potential issues as well as strengths of the homes we saw.

Making an offer was smooth. Jonathan utilized just the right mix of email and phone communication and set us up to sign documents electronically given our distance from Traverse City. He provided us detailed comparable homes to help us craft and get comfortable with our offer. Jonathan was also extremely supportive in crafting the offer with several key suggestions for timing and concessions we should require from the seller. We were amazed how involved and knowledgeable he was about the whole process, walking us through every step of the way, which was huge for us as first time buyers.

Once the offer was accepted Jonathan quickly let us know next steps and provided a variety of resources we could choose from for inspection services. He worked well with our lender to ensure documents flowed to all who needed them. He even contacted numerous local resources on our behalf to further investigate and estimate various issues that came up during the inspection. We had several addendums to the original purchase agreement due to a complex situation with the sale, and all were handled timely and easily via a remote electronic system that was vital to buying a home for out of towners.

In our last weeks before close the situation with our lender and our home had emails and calls going back and forth many times a day. Vicky stepped right in to help us field the questions and ensure we were on track to close with the closing agent giving us detailed updates via email and phone. She assisted us on our final walk through and her attention to detail was impressive. She was present for our closing and explained the entire process to us so that such a big day seemed much less stressful and chaotic than we anticipated.

I've written a book, but I still have barely touched on the details and little intangibles that we got out of the experience with Jonathan, Vicky, and team. My wife and I could not have had a better first time home buying experience (which is saying something because our purchase was so complex). We owe it all to Jonathan and Vicky and recommend them highly!
