LOOK AT THE PHOTOS THEN READ THE BELOW - $200k plus k remodel:

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE K&P! Landon , who took over his father, and his right hand, Chris are terrible at EVERY aspect of being a general contractor, except of course from selling you the project. As victims of Hurricane Harvey they completely took advantage of us. After seeing how much our insurance provider gave us, they took the $200k from the insurance as well as additional funds that we came out of pocket for. A project that was estimated to take 6-8 months took over 2 years (a new strip-center with a Kroger was built and in operation by the time K&P walked off the job)! Below are a few of the issues that we had, most of which remain unresolved as K&P walked off the job:
1. We ordered a new copper sink, the K&P foreman watched the painters clean their equipment in the sink (photo of our "new"sink is below).
2. They replaced french doors leading into the back yard with a sliding doors, whoever, they were unable to match the brick (see photo)
3. Shower bench is not a rectangle - they could not make a straight bench!!
4. Bathroom wall tile - they could not make the shower tile flush!!
5. Bathroom grout - we now have 3 different grout colors on the bathroom floor? Seriously is it that hard?
6 New wood floors - let me drop varnish remover or acetone on the floor and see what happens ? Um, it will eat the color!!
7. Door frames - every door and door frame they installed had damage.
8. Do I need to move what is in my garage to storage? "No, I have a trustworthy crew that I've had forever". Well, sorry to say that tools that were in the garage as my wife and I cleaned the garage were then missing. So, trustworthiness, or better taking responsibility is not a strength of theirs by any means.
9. Power wash treated garage - Hmm, think it will take the coating off?
10. Worst painting company EVER - they had to repaint multiple times and still couldn't get it right.

After making them aware of these issues countless times, they kept asking for more money. At once point we just refused to provide additional funds until we saw progress, however, that point never arrived as K&P walked off the job. I offered to escrow the money, but they were not capable of working with that either.
K&P - DO NOT TRUST, they tell you what you want to hear, show you previous photos, to get your buy in, then....well just look at some of the photos below (I have many more)
