My father was a recent patient, he is 74 yrs old ....

My father was a recent patient, he is 74 yrs old .... First I am not happy with this place .... They shouldn't of released him until they knew he had a ride home .... I don't know any hospital who does not have a transport for those who do NOT have a ride home .... They sent an elderly person home in a cab alone and that was so wrong and it was at 1am and you just don't do that ..... I am very angry that this happened to him. I live 3 hrs away in Pontiac IL. The nurse who contacted me at 12:30am didn't even call me back and let me know that they sent my dad home in a cab, instead they let me worry and not call me back and let me know. This is not a hospital I would like to go to again and have family go to again. The staff is very incompetent and they need to invest in some kind of transport to patients that doesn't have a ride home, especially for the elderly. This hospital doesn't deserve a rating at all.
