I remember what this hotel used to be like when it...

I remember what this hotel used to be like when it was more upmarket/exclusive and you could have a fabulous dinner at The Zodiac!<br/>These days the hotel is absolutely bang average and no longer deserves its 5 Star rating.....<br/>Checked-in via Marriott Bonvoy APP the day before we arrived but was told the room wasn t ready but we could head to the Spa?! Great, so I ve come straight to the hotel from work - still dressed in a suit, tie etc - and have to start fumbling around for gym gear, swim shorts in the hotel lobby.<br/>Finally got our room keycard and when we checked into the room quickly realised that the reception had given us an incorrect key?! Had to walk back to the hotel lobby to collect the right keycard and still weren t offered any assistance taking our luggage to the room.<br/>We had booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package and were told there was no space at the hotel restaurant so we had to order food to our room.... Pretty disappointing considering what we had spent on our stay. Music from one of the parties then went on until 11pm (which was fine) but the clean-up team then preceded to make a ridiculous amount of noise for a further hour and a half.<br/>Breakfast in the morning was awful, it s now served in a room fit for 30 people yet they ve managed to cram an entire hotels worth of guests into the space. <br/>Real shame that in only five years the current management team has managed to run what was a great hotel experience right into the toilet! Embarrassing.
