One of the most isolated and remote Sierra Nevada ski resorts, Kirkwood is an epic destination and does not disappoint. Limited lodging in the area, but tickets are cheaper and lift lines shorter here.

Amazing backcountry/out of bounds runs here easily accessible by a short hike. The best powder days of my life were at Kirkwood. If you live in Northern Nevada or Californi , love skiing, and you've never been to Kirkwood before, make this your next destination.

If you're a beginner theres not as many runs available, so you're better off at Northstar, or Squaw Valley-Alpine Meadows.
