9 year loyal member. Finally cancelled and feel a sense of relief! One of only a few instances I can recall in my life where I feel so compelled to write a review about my experience (management shrugs off any feedback and could literally care less about the membership experience). As you'll see in the reviews, a lot of to like, but consistency in how many people like it up until a point where management or billing treats loyal members so ridiculously that they get fed up and leave. I'm just the latest.

Great gym (and many good people), but tired of battling their unbelievably aggressive billing department several times a year and haggling over dated fee policies. Very similar experiences to Lindsay's review. I cringe every year at calling their billing department to make simple changes that always turn into them layering on fees. Every opportunity you give them (whether adding/taking kids off membership for summer swim lessons or wishing to put a few month hold on a membership due to work travel), they layer on fees and/or tell you that you needed to tell them 30 days ago (for "processing time"). They recently wanted $40 a month to put my membership on hold for 2-3 months, all to "hold" my 9-year "benefit" of paying $138/month instead of $145 for new members. That was the end for me.

Another trick they like to play is requiring members to jump through archaic hoops to change anything - like requiring you to come into their office to sign some form from the 1990's. I often had to give up in those circumstances, for it was infeasible for me to get over there on a weekday during their limited business office hours.

Finally, over my 9 years there, the quality of offering is deteriorating quickly and membership fees are going up (monthly and the regular hassle fees like above). Class offerings have gone from good to below average. They still have breadth in classes, but whether you like yoga, cycling, cardio classes, etc, you'll easily find higher quality instruction at other studios/gyms across Denver.
