I've had some interesting experiences at TK - purchased two vehicles - tried to purchase a new vehicle, always taken my Toyota vehicles to their service bays, slipped and fell in the service reception area when leaving my vehicle due to a wet floor, etc. I've had to argue with the service department a couple of times about them over torquing the oil drain plug, stripping it and causing a leak - I had to purchase the OEM repair kit (labor was provided after I challenged the fact there was a repair kit which highlighted the "known issue.") and the service advisor wanting to sell another spark plug job when they had been replaced only two service cycles prior (he had not checked my service records). The last 4-5 service trips on my 4Runner, the service tech had forgotten to reset my maintenance light - if a person forgets something so simple and routine, how do they do on the more critical jobs. Often, the plastic seat protectors and paper floor mat were not removed - I had to throw the trash away. The latest comment - happened today - my wife called the parts department to inquire about replacement lug nuts (notice, we called TK first because we want OEM parts on the vehicle), received price and availability. When asking for a part number so we could write it down to reference it in the future, she was told that "we don't give out part numbers." I could see if it was a part costing several hundreds of dollars - shopping online is probably the best comparison to save a few bucks, but a $8.00 lug nut, really? Who in their right mind would order a $4.00 lug nut and pay $10 shipping? So, here's my review - I'd never purchase another vehicle from TK - because they are NOT willing to deal - I purchased a 2018 Toyota Tundra Platinum from the Clinton dealer and drive up there for service. Additionally, I would would rather drive to Clinton or Alcoa to spend my $8.00. Enjoy your lugnuts!
