It s a big park so I d recommend renting a bike. My friend and I went there early November (2016) and the autumn foliage was in peak, making everything prettier. Food is surprisingly affordable. Not much rides or attractions but still worth a day of exploration.

Stay until late, the park lights up very beautifully.
Kudos to their park playlist too!

The train lines going to Nagasaki were down during the day we went there. So we went there by Bus instead. We booked our Bus ride going back (to Fukuoka) before going inside the park.
