Full Disclosure: I was a prospective employee for Rockin Robin Kennels at Red Bluff Plantation for the 2017-2018 season.

I'd give Scott Keown of Rockin Robin Kennels zero stars if I could. Back in July 2017, we agreed to an employment opportunity where I'd be an assistant guide starting in November and through February. My situation was complicated because I was coming South from Pennsylvania with my girlfriend who also had to find a job in the area. I checked in periodically with Scott Keown between July and November to give him updates on anticipated, start dates and eventually informed Scott I gave my two-weeks notice to my PA employer and would arrive in Savannah, mid-November. Scott gave me every assurance he'd be ready to work me into his operation as soon as I got to Savannah. However, after repeatedly trying to get in touch with Scott for a week once I arrived, he suddenly decided to tell me he had hired someone else A MONTH AGO in mid-October! He sheepishly apologized and offered to call me when he needed backup but that call never came. Needless to say, I lost a month's worth of job-hunting time and ultimately wasn't able to find work for a month after arriving in Savannah. Luckily, I had some money in the bank to fall back on but will now have to recover from Scott's dishonesty.

If you're considering giving Scott your dog for training, I can't tell you whether he is a good trainer or not. I can tell you he is extremely unresponsive and dishonest. With all the trainers out there today, you can definitely do better than Scott and Rockin Robin Kennels. Take my review with a grain of salt if you'd like but if it were my money, I'd take it elsewhere.
