I had over $40,000.00 of damage done to my home. I battled and are still battling the insurance company with no help from Quicken Loans to get them to pay for the damage. The amount that the insurance company has paid is now in the hands of Rachael Hamel at Quickin Loans loss specialist. Even though I have explained to her that I am the one who summited the plans to the city, got the plans approved and built my house. She is telling me that they can not remburse me for any of the work I have done (over $20,000.00 of my own money spent) to repair the damage because I am not a licensed bonded and insured. But if I complete all $40,000.00 worth of the work and do everything on the insurance estimate then they will pay me in full after a final inspection even though I am not licensed bonded or insured. Sounds like BS.
