In my experience everyone was short with me and seemed to be just sick of their job. They wern't helpful and seemed like they just wanted to go home for the day. The woman at the front desk (didnt catch her name) was very rude and seemed to roll her eyes when she had to do work, she was also very rude speaking to me. Her tone was terrible. There was only one man that was quite helpful during my visit (I didnt catch his name either) but he was the only one that was kind, helpful, and smiled at me. He seemed to enjoy his job and know it's about helping and serving the community, the rest of them didnt seem to get that memo or even bother to care. Hey, I wouldnt care either if I hated my cozy, state job. Not everyone whom walks through this place is a piece of trash, or a bad person, but damn will they treat you like one. Thank you for rolling your eyes when I has a question because I dont know anything about this world. Thank you for snickering at me when I started crying because I was afraid. Thank you for treating me like I'm a trash human being, it felt really great. Thank you to the two kind strangers whom actually helped me more than anyone in that office, you've touched my heart more than you'll ever know. God really does put people on our paths for a reason. So thank you for being rude to me, because maybe if you hadn't I wouldnt have found the help or anwsers I needed from ONE male officer (out of an entire office of 5) and a complete stranger.

My parents always told me if you're unhappy in what you're doing find an other direction in life, you dont always have to fight upstream. I hope they take that to heart, if youre tired of your position or the community, make a change. Whether it be a small attitude change or a larger, different career path-- whatever it may be. You're helping the community, to protect and serve. So please, be kind, a smile can go so much further than you'd think.

I'm only giving two starts because of the people whom actually helped me and didnt treat me like dirt. Otherwise it would be a 0-1 star rating to be honest.

I'm not bashing anyone, or this department, I'm only telling my experience. But please, if you work with people, be kind to them. Sometimes that's all they need.

Much love and God bless you all in uniform -- may your days get better and brighter, I'd love to see you all smile. I know it's rough, the days are long and thankless I'm sure, but just try it some time. It's a good look on everyone. Even the most depressed of people can muster a smile, I'd know.
