Pro:
The gentleman at the front desk was lovely and did his best to handle the many issues of the night.
The linens were clean. I saw no evidence of bugs or mold.

Cons:
Our toilet was empty of water and therfore did not flush. Of course, we didn't find this out until after we unpacked and brushed our teeth etc. At 1 am.
The shower had very low pressure (we checked to see if the water had been cut off early). At least half the water came out around the faucet rather than from it.
This had apparently been a repeated complaint from others.
The AC was sadly under power.
The floor was dirty and the carpet worn through in places. The beds were not supportive.
We were offered another room but at that point we just wanted to sleep and not to repack everything and move.

Turns out, there was a massive leak somewhere in the hotel. They were aware but felt providing that info and maybe offering a discount wouldn't be a good idea? Instead there will be a bunch of unhappy customers telling everyone how bad it was.

Other:
The building is currently under construction. The water was due to be shut off in the morning. The construction was significant enough that it might have been better to close for the night.

To be honest, we should've been offered a substantial refund for the subpar experience. We certainly didn't get an $80 value. My most disappointing La Quinta experience.
