Dave Watts Review of The Inn at Little Washington
This is, of course, one of the finest restaurants ...
This is, of course, one of the finest restaurants in the DC area. It's been around so long - about forty years! I just went back for our thirtieth wedding anniversary and it was fantastic as usual. It's more of a dining experience than just a meal - it's far enough from DC that you kind of need to stay somewhere after you eat instead of driving back to the city. The Inn itself is quite expensive, so I like to stay at the Middleton Inn down the road, which is itself very nice and quite a bit cheaper.
The restaurant spends a lot of time and effort on the whole dining experience, from beginning to end - usually several hours later. Everything is about the experience. But the food is also incredibly creative and delicious as well. There's a wide variety of vegetarian options also. I can't say enough good things about it. It is of course quite expensive, so it's a destination instead of just another night out. But it's worth it!
