I am Very disappointed in the Chesapeake police dept. We called in to the Non emergency line to report a theft from.our vehicle. After waiting on the line for ever, we Finally got a person to talk to, who Did NOt take a report, or seem to care that we have been violated. They did not seem to care about details and Instead, directed us to File our Own report to Chesapeake police!!! . Ummm WHAT? just like walmart, I Do Not choose to check myself out because I DO NOT WORK HERE.) NOR AM I A CHES. POPO. WHY SHOULD I DO MY OWN POLICE WORK,/REPORT, SHOULD I SHOT AND ARREST A PERSON TOO??? why do we pay for these people to sit in parking lots, shop,eat and Not protect us. ..if they dont want to Protect and Serve us citizens, then Why are they getting PAID to do so... yes I had a Minor theft complaint,,, But that's why they are here!!!. My friend had a accident and the "Officer" botched the report so bad, that the victim can't locate the the accussed!!! And critical info was left off the report!! What the hell Ches. Police?? If u dont wanna help us, why bother even coming out. Wish I could paid to do nothing and let the victim do all the work..I am 200% pro police, but ur breaking my beliefs down
