I have been sick for 5 days. Aching, chills, extreme congestion, high fever, the works. I finally broke down after missing a week of work. They did a urine sample, blood work, chest x-ray. they had no intention of diagnosing me, they told me they didn't even do a influenza screen. I told them I had no primary physician yet they insisted on me following up elsewhere. I don't have money for it. Especially now that I've missed a week of work after the Thanksgiving holiday. The triage nurse literally told me that they didn't know what it was but they were treating it as bronchitis.... No de-congestant, or cough suppressant( non narcotic is fine I'm not chasing drugs). They sent me home with an inhaler and amoxicillin. This is the third time I've had a horrific experience there and left without any REAL help. They are, unfortunately, the only charity hospital in Beaumont but enough was enough to day I will drive to Houston from now on. Two hours away, regardless of the ailment, just to feel like I'm actually being taken care of. This hospital is horrible, if at all avoidable, DON'T GO HERE!!!!! They don't care about you
