It's difficult to evaluate a resort in the off-season, but even with skiiing season over and summer season not starting yet, we had a great vacation at Smuggler's Notch. The staff was excellent, and our condo was very nice and well furnished. We used the general store, the (indoor) pool, the massage services, the zip line adventure and the fire pit. All were very good. There were plenty of interesting activities to pursue near the resort, too; we recommend driving through the Notch, and also visiting LaJoie Riding Stables, Boyden Valley Winery, Ben and Jerry's Factory Tour, Palmer Lane Maple (authentic Vermont Kreemees!), Snowflake Chocolates and the Historic Old Mill Craft Shop. Keep an eye out for "sugar bushes," "Kreemees," and covered bridges as you drive around this quaint and beautiful part of New England!
