I always enjoy the food at Gypsy Tea Room, but last week some friends and I were there for dinner and wine. The waitress introduced the waiter accompanying her as an employee who used to work in the courtyard and was now being trained inside. The meal was lovely and after the second glass of wine, the waiter brought the bill. He encouraged us to pay quickly. Through further inquiry after feeling as though we were being rushed, he told us that there were other customers and he wanted the table where we were sitting. We were shocked that we were not even permitted to finish our second glass of wine, which he served 5 minutes before. Though I enjoy this restaurant, I won't be returning anytime soon. That type of service is just completely unacceptable!
