The difference between a mediocre restaurant and a great restaurant is in the details. Unfortunately, People's Organic Cafe is missing the critical details that could make it an excellent place to eat. I have eaten at the Minnetonka location and the Eden Prairie location multiple times. Each time I visit, I am eager to give the restaurant another chance to shine and so badly want to leave a great review, like so many other Google reviewers have done. With their wonderful philosophy and their local and organic ingredients, there is great potential for this place. Unfortunately, the meal quality is inconsistent. Some menu items are good, many are mediocre, and some would be good if they were prepared properly. The Minnetonka location today handed out menus that were torn and dirty. We sat in chairs that were worn and dirty, and there were no paper towels in the bathroom. These things alone aren't a huge deal, but they set the stage for how people feel coming into a restaurant. Our food was mostly inedible (cold and dry). The potstickers were amazing, though...if only all the food and the other details were as great as the potstickers, I'd give People's a 5-star review! There is so much potential here, but it really needs some love and TLC to become great.
