I had the pleasure of volunteering with a local mentoring program and it was an amazing experience. The program matches adult mentors with children who could benefit from extra support and guidance. It's not about being a replacement parent, but rather providing a positive role model and someone they can trust and confide in. I loved seeing the growth and development in the child I was matched with. Big brothers big sisters of greater cincinnati does a fantastic job in creating these mentorship opportunities and I highly recommend getting involved!
