Awful experience! We booked our hotel 2 months in advance so we wouldn't have to worry about a room once we arrived in Gatlinburg (we were told October is a very busy month there). After driving about 6 hours, we checked into our room which was on the first floor. The room was dated but we were okay with that. Exhausted from the drive, my husband went to sit down on the bed and turned over a pillow. There is was, crawling across the pillow, a BED BUG! Ugh...needless to say, we were not going to stay here! We folded the pillow to hold the bed bug in it and took it to the front desk and one of the ladies behind the counter crinkled her nose at it and the other lady just grabbed it and pinched it between her fingers and tossed it on the floor like it was nothing! They did give us a full refund and apologized, however bed bugs are bed bugs and I do not want them in my clothes or my house. Since Gatlinburg was packed the weekend we went, it took half of our day (4 hours) just trying to find another room to stay in. Just by chance, we were lucky and ended up finding one in Pigeon Forge because someone had just cancelled. We thought we were going to have to sleep in the small honda civic we drove (there were 4 of us). Because of this hotel and its bed bug problem, our vacation was almost ruined because we didn't have a place to stay and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back home!! Thank the Good Lord for being with us! It all ended up working out but we were limited to one good day for our vacation stay because we spent so much time looking for a hotel! I would not recommend this hotel and if you do stay here, please check your pillows, bedding and bed for bugs first!!
