CECB- Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau was established in year 1973 as a fully owned State Enterprise by the Government of Sri Lanka . This is the head office of CECB. Located at Colombo 7.

Currently, providing Engineering Consultancy, Construction and related Services. Our Clients include both Public and Private Institutions. Since 2016, Construction Services are undertaken by the fully owned subsidiary Central Engineering Services (PVT) Limited (CESL). Also provided services Internationally and have worked in Maldives, India, East Africa and UK.

CECB consist of total staff strength of 1100 of which nearly 900 are in technical grades. Among them there are 480 Graduate Engineers and chartered Engineers .

CECB provides specialized services such as Irrigation, Coastal, Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Railway Bridges, Hydropower , Ports and Water Supply. Also fully equipped laboratory for testing Engineering materials and a Geological Investigations unit.
