The Mansfield Police are not very good. The actions and results says it better than anything. I found Mansfield has. according to the crime statistics compiled by the FBI, crime close to twice a community of the same population. Statistics showed that Mentor with a population 100 less and Newark, ohio 100 more, combined have less crime than Mansfield, Ohio, especially violent crime and property crimes.

The reason is not so simple, the police have many excuses for not doing anything. Its a civil matter is my personal favorite. Mansfield has no noise ordinance according to the police, they are angry when you would like the party to wind down at 1am. The say that is a landlord matter. They are right the city council cant write a noise ordinance. I was threatened with my life and the policeman asked me if I had a body cam to prove it. an elderly man goes picking a fight with 15 young adults that are drunk and high. I feel we would be better served with a washing of the police department and starting over.
