Last night I was invited to join friends at The Duchess for their anniversary dinner
I was quite excited and really looking forward to the experience, having heard such good things about the place.
And then bleh, what a disappointment . The food was tasteless. The starter salad was horrendous. A 5 year old could have made a better presented and tasting salad. Then for my main dish I had ordered a tuna ceviche, which is a favourite dish of mine. I was told it was made in the traditional way. But no. What I got was a tiny portion of raw tuna with some onions in it. R550 per head is what it cost and what I experienced wasn't worth R150 and that was for the slivers of raw tuna. I won't even go with what the bill ended up being. What a rip off. I'm amazed that they have the gall to charge those prices. So to the owner I will give you back your own words. 'Be Kind Cu#t'
