There was something wrong with the sewage system during our stay, which made our room smelly. We indicated this immediately after arrival, after which one of the employees came to clean the place. However, the stench lingered, but the employee assured us that the stench would be gone by the evening and that - if it wasn't - we would be compensated. Unfortunately, when we returned in the evening, the stench had only increased. We reported this again to the reception, after which the staff said that - apart from spraying the air freshener - there was nothing they could do for us. According to them there were no more rooms available, but it seemed that the rooms next to us were still empty. What an absolute joke, and that for a room of more than 180 per night. Tip: if you want to stay in (or near) Goes, go to hotel Katoen.
