My old Western Digital external drive that had my kids priceless pictures stopped spinning one day. Oh, the panic and sadness I felt that day! After talking to friends, making lots of calls, I found Data Mechanix and took my drive in. The drive head had gotten stuck and scratched the platter so there was some damage. Maria was very patient to work with my slow reading drive (took much much longer than ancipated) but she and her team were patient and recovered as much data possible with multiple replacement of the data head. I was also given a list of damaged files, with percentage, and the file names were intact (I heard sometimes the file names come back weird after data recovery at some other places). Maria kept me updated the whole time and took the time to answer all my questions. Totally recommend!
