We went this past week during AVL restaurant week....

We went this past week during AVL restaurant week... we were excited to finally try Red Stag based on word of mouth, other reviews etc. but were very disappointed with the experience. For such a pricy place, we were expecting impeccable service. The waiter was great, but food was slow to arrive and was very disappointing. The sirloin was stringy, fatty and gristly . The soup was extremely salty. The pie seemed like Sara Lee and the apple crisp was horrific. For such a high end place, we expected a sublime dining experience. We wondered if it had to do with restaurant week, but other recent reviews I ve read from the last few weeks makes me wonder if they are experiencing staff/mgmt issues?
