Ashley Mabus Review of William carey university

Don't belive the lies, they'll tell you if your not Christian you'll still love it, and the scholarships for such a "desirable" (read: expensive) college will make it tempting. Only thing you gotta do to keep it is to go to chapel every Wednesday. What they don't tell you till you're already settled in is if you miss even a handful of early morning chapels, they will fail you for every class that you are taking, no matter your grades.
Getting up at 9 to listen to someone drone sounds easy enough at first, but most important and core classes don't take place till the afternoon, and keep you up a bit late so you can do the homework after. So 9 in the morning is gonna feel like 4. Oh and they lock the doors to keep you out if you don't get there in time. Even if they see you running to get there, depending on who's manning the door that day. Eventually found it hard to go to class at all, even for the subjects I loved. Why bother if you're gonna fail anyway, right?
Now I've been dropped out a year, in 6000 worth of debt that they didn't tell me I was racking up, I get a job that wants to know how much college I had, they wouldn't let me get my transcript because I was in debt. At least till I pointed out I couldn't pay them back with no job. "Christian values" aparently is a word that means "no unless it means we can't get our money that we waited to the last second to say you were owing us."
