We ordered a small bottle of prosecco ($10) and they return with a small bottle we thought was prosecco but turns out to be a $20 bottle of champagne. The check comes and they expect us to pay for the item we didn't order. We tell the waiter that if they won't own up to their mistake, we will pay for the 20d champagne but he won't get a tip. In any case we paid the full bill.. We go to our car and hear some commotion as the owner is yelling at a group that was sitting near us. They are pointing our way. I go up to the group and ask what's wrong. They said we forgot to pay. I go in and talk to the owner and ask if there was a problem. "You didn't want to pay for your champagne," she said. I reminded her that we paid in full exactly what they wanted and that due to your mistake your waiter is eating the tip. She walks away. No apology nothing. As I walked out, the waiter was the one who thanked us and took responsibility. Other than that, the owner accuses us of theft, and she will NEVER get our business again.
