I listed my business with this company a year ago....

I listed my business with this company a year ago. At our meeting I was very adamant about if they didn t think my business was sellable, then I wouldn t list it. They assured me they had sold a similar business and they felt it would definitely sell. Their average business I was told, sold within eight months. I even had to give them $1500 upfront for advertising and it would come off of the commission price if my business sold. Now I see now they are calling it a retainer and say now that it was reduced after my business didn't sell with another broker. They never said anything about a reduced retainer when I signed my contract. My other listing with the other broker was years ago, not just a few months after I Iisted it with Michelle. I felt I was the one doing all of the follow up on how the inquiries were going all along. I had one interested buyer with a low down payment offer and this company states that I raised my business price right after the offer which I did not. I was thinking of raising the price because my sales were higher but I did not. A month out before my listing was up, I contacted Michelle and asked for her to call me. I got a broken text which was very unprofessional. If my listing was up soon I felt I should ve had a courtesy call and not a text when I asked for a return call.
When my listing ended, I received nothing on their end. No Thank you for letting us try to sell your business .
Extremely disappointed with them and out $1500. I m very customer service oriented in my business and I expected the same. It's a shame how a company can turn their story after I was honest with my review.
