The Madison County Historical Society, Inc. is an amazing organization. They truly care about preserving the rich history of our county. I have visited their museum multiple times and I am always impressed by the exhibits and the knowledgeable staff. The museum website (madisoncountymuseum.org) is also a great resource for learning more about the county's history. I highly recommend visiting and supporting this organization.
