I have been with Tucson Water since 2007. I have lived at the same address the entire time. Last week I got a collection for an address I did not recognize. When I called Tucson City I was told that there was an outstanding water bill at said address from 2010 that I had to pay or the water would be shut off by the 25th of this month. She said is was because I added my daughter to my account (which I did last week). I never authorized service at this address and this is the first time I have ever been contacted by the city in regards to this account much less a bill until this week. I said to the clerk that I was being blackmailed into paying for a bill that was not mine and no evidence it ever was. She agreed that I was being extorted. WTF.
