My Tesla had two blowouts from a lovely pothole in Long Island City and Tesla assigned Nicks Towing to come pick me up. I received a call from the driver who was extremely personable and was lighthearted reducing the whole stress of the situation. He arrived promptly and was very patient, attentive to detail, and did not make me feel like he was just coming to do his job and leave. He made sure to very carefully load my car onto the bed and was just all around a nice and professional guy. I enjoyed the drive to the shop with him as he kept a great conversation going and talked to me about his affinity for what he does and how much he loved hearing about stories from customers, and how he liked to hear about how electric cars have impacted his customers lives. He seemed genuinely interested in conversing and made the whole experience feel far less transactional. I felt like a friend had stopped to help me out of a rut (literally and figuratively). When we got to the destination he helped me offload the car before saying goodbye and wishing me well. I ve had the misfortune of dealing with many situations where I ve needed a tow truck with past vehicles, but Nicks Towing was the furthest thing from an unfortunate consequence of and already unfortunate situation. I m happy that I got to meet such a friendly driver and even if it cost me two tires and a little bit of anxiety over the upcoming repair bill, Nicks Towing was oddly the highlight of my day! Consider yourself lucky if you happen to cross paths with this tow company :)
