Went a year ago with the family because reviews were so good and website stated it was like Williamsburg, VA. I grew up near Williamsburg and thought a southern experience like that would be awesome since we were going to New Mexico anyways. Well... it's NOT like Williamsbug. The history is very interesting but unlike Whilliamsburg, it is basically only open by appointment, so it was DEAD ( which I guess can have its pros). No other visiters, no reenactments, no shows, no shops. Just a guided privet history tour (which was NOT what was expected or advertised but not so bad). I guess its better when there is a festival going on? But definitely false advertisement never the less. Great for older kids who don't need the other stuff and can deal with just the historic talks, not so good for my then three year old.
