Seriously disappointed with iO theater this weeken...

Seriously disappointed with iO theater this weekend. 3 of us went to the Saturday Spectacular improv and it was the worst- hands done worst -improv I ve ever been to. Sold as a 1.5 hour event it only lasted an hour, which in retrospect was probably a good thing. Two 30 minutes sets, the first group clearly were very nervous many of them visibly sweating despite it being a cold Chicago night. Barely a chuckle from the audience.
Second group was Vandalay Industries which had us Seinfeld fans prechuckling and ready to launch our stockpiled laughter from the first set. Cast members definitely more confident and there a few more chuckles here and there but their bit never really caught fire. The cast was laughing much more than the audience so not sure if they understand their humor better or if they had some inside jokes the audience didn t know.
Very very disappointed in this show. Great venue, cool bar area but performances tanked. Don t recommend it.
