Major disappointment! I just received the bill/statement from the (no-care) Peachford Hospital. For my Mom s two week stay for psychiatric evaluation, it is $30,000.00. I can tell you that it was a pure rip off of Medicare and Medicaid. Government tax dollars are lining the pockets of the CEO and Peachford s Executive Committee. Let me also add, my mother s 2 gold rings valued at $14,000.00 were stolen by the staff along with a nice winter coat and new Deerfoam slippers. She wasn t wearing any shoes when I picked her up. No one answers to repeated calls. There is no accountability. They just stole the last valuable thing my poor mother owned. I filed a police report. The talk in Dunwoody Law Enforcement is Peachford is a criminal facility. It s a racket. This isn t the first case of patients being shakeddown. It s an ongoing problem. They also said repeatedly,
